Coodie Brown Concept is a modern funk and soul collective built around groove, musicianship, and fearless creativity. What started as a tight two-piece nucleus has evolved into a flexible band that can expand anywhere from an intimate duo to a full 10-piece powerhouse.

Inspired by the musical DNA of D’Angelo, The S.O.S. Band, Bee Gees, Steely Dan, Marvin Gaye, and Jamiroquai, the Concept blends deep-pocket rhythm, lush harmony, and live-band energy into a sound that feels both classic and future-facing.

Their release “Too Playa” featuring JK Howells introduced listeners to the collective’s slick groove and collaborative spirit. Now, Coodie Brown Concept is building their first full-length album, curating contributions from some of the best vocalists and musicians in modern soul and funk.
